According to wikiOnline Learning (commonly abbreviated as EduTech, or EdTech) is the combined use of computer hardware, software, and educational theory and practice to facilitate learning. When referred to with its abbreviation, EdTech, it is often referring to the industry of companies that create educational technology.

With the advent of technology in education, online learning has being widely embraced in all stages of education because it makes learning more easier and stress free.
Fortunately, the online learning process has proven to be more effective than the traditional method of learning that is why in most institutions, there’s always room for students to learn online if need be.

REASONS TO ADOPT ONLINE LEARNING
1. It is cost effective-
You can access your school work online without having to worry about the cost of transportation or commuting to school every day which will also encourage you to have money for savings and be prudent in your spending.

2. It aids and allows for easy concentration- You can choose a place or environment that’s comfortable for you regardless of your location.
You can create an environment that is conducive for your learning process since all your activities will be online and you don’t have to worry about a stuffy classroom, crowded library or a noisy study space and if you are a type of student that feels more comfortable with less crowd and little or no interaction with too many people then online learning will help you to concentrate in a much better way.

3. It is flexible, efficient and eco friendly-
Learning online allows you to have a flexible routine. You can even check your grades and scores online without going to your school to ask for it or even ask for transfer online in case you want to transfer to another learning institution. It also gives room for a hassle free learning process such that you do not have to stick to a particular learning approach since you are free to fix your study time to a place or environment and time that is convenient for you which will allow you to be comfortable and eager to learn.

4. It encourages you to be creative and interactive-
With online learning, you don’t have to follow a particular pattern or way of learning, you can decide to think outside the box and create something beyond what you have been taught and even try out new things or engage in other activities with your online study groups by creating online group discussions and having tutorials which enhance your interaction with other students you can also learn from while learning with them, exchange ideas, form meaningful and useful connections, have shared values and goals and also generate a good social behavior.

5. You are able to own your learning process and cultivate the art of self discipline-
Self discipline involves different things and has it’s own way through which you can inculcate it into your life
It comes in different forms and ways but you know for sure that you are disciplining yourself when something is hard and you could choose the easy way out and not do it but choosing to go all the way out to get that thing done against all odds is the beauty of self discipline and with online learning you are able to discipline yourself to be focused and ready to learn such that you can gain more knowledge and be productive.
